If you are a non-EU citizen and want to apply for the TIE, Foreigner Identity Card, you can also do it through HolaBank Club. This document is a physical card that contains the identification data of the holder: photo, NIE number and type of authorization to stay or reside in Spain. Depending on the card granted, you may or may not be able to work in Spain and the EU.
It can only be issued to those non-EU citizen who are legally in Spain in accordance with current legislation and regulations. It is the only and exclusive document intended to provide documentation to foreigners in a situation of legal permanence in Spain for a period of more than six months.
It is personal and non-transferable, the custody and preservation of the document corresponds to its holder. However, children OR non-emancipated or incapacitated minors may appear on the Card corresponding to the father, mother or legal representative.
